try only washing the roots of your hair for like a week. then all the natural oils will kick in and it will flatten out more and be sleek wavy versus huge and poofy. trust me on this. i have white girl fro.
secondly...i think lydia might be able to pull off those dreads. it's your choice whether or not you want to relay this information to her. :)
by sudsing it all up in your hands, then just using your fingertips and massaging the roots. it will get on the rest of your hair, but it won't wash it nearly as much as scrubbing your whole head would.
